Women should wear make up only when needed. Women should take off their make up before going to bed (It doesn’t only irritates the skin but the sheets as well 🙂 ). Make up should enhance women’s beauty not totally replace them with a different look. Blah…blah…blah. These do’s and don’ts can be infinite but truthfully, one of the major reason why women buy make up? Because of the beautiful packaging. Period.
Proenza Schouler for MAC hit that “should-I-buy” deciding factor. The designer duo Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough came up with confident and wearable hues of pink, coral and neutral.
“We picked Pantones for absolutely everything and then MAC gave us some variation on the colours working with a lot of ombre colour palettes. Ombre is something we’ve worked a lot with in the past, and has that softness we were looking for,” Hernandez explained. “There’s a beachiness to the whole collection – a summery quality with those faded neon kind of colors. There’s a naturalness in terms of colour, but because it is make-up, we wanted to up the ante and do something a little bit different than what we do for the shows. But we didn’t want it to be too ‘vixen’ or vampy. It’s cooler – there’s a breeziness, a nonchalance.” (source)
