I bet all the people in the love world have seen the movie “The Notebook”. I have not. I don’t want to watch it inspite of Rolex’ very positive personal review because I have very high expectations. I don’t want to fail it. But last night, I give in to Rolex recommendation and watch “My Sister’s Keeper”, from the same director of “The Notebook” Nick Cassavetes.

The movie stars a bald Cameron Diaz. She looks like an alien, no?

…and another bald kid/teen.

Of course it’s not a movie about great hairstyles and bad hair days but I kept on bugging Rolex how he knew about that movie and I didn’t? Hello to his boss but he must not be busy yesterday that he was searching on Youtube the song “Feels Like Home” and discovered about this 2009 American drama film.

Feels Like Home

There’s something in your eyes
Makes me wanna lose my self,
Makes me wanna lose myself in your heart,
There’s something in your voice
That makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling lasts
For the rest of my life

If you knew how lonely
My life has been
And how long I’ve been so alone
And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along
And change my life the way you’ve done

It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
It feels like I’m all the way back where I come from
It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
It feels like I’m all the way back where I belong

A window breaks down on lumdard street
And a siren rings in the night
But I’m all right cuz I have you here with me,
And I can almost see through the dark there is light

Well if you knew how much this moment means to me
And how long I’ve waited for your touch
And if you knew how happy you are making me
I never thought that I’d love anyone so much

It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
It feels like I’m all the way back where I come from
It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
It feels like I’m all the way back where I belong

It feels like I’m all the way back where I belong.

Of course I know that song, from the movie “10 Things I Hate About You”. Its a chick flick you know. However there is more about this song if you watch the movie “My Sister’s Keeper”.

There is always a reason why we were born. It may be out of wedlock, by accident of partners who are clueless about contraception, through the wonders of science, planned naturally or whatever…we are born for a purpose. However, in the end we will also die. That’s life…sometimes, a person is “worth a lot more dead than alive.” – quote from Jodie Picoult, author of the novel My Sister’s Keeper.

PS. I literally wash my face with salty tears the whole time so get ready with kleenex on your side.

Cheers!
